SOBA, formally known as the Society of Beer Advocates, is New Zealand's foremost group of beer nerds and they've picked our beloved Supercharger APA as their Beer of the Year. This was hot on the heels of The Vandal taking home the silverware last time out. It's pretty gratifying to be honest because Supercharger is not some limited release cask-conditioned porter made with squid ink, it's our most popular beer in one of the most competitive categories in the business. We particularly love it when the tastes of the cognoscenti and the punters converge because we got into this business to make good beer widely available and appreciated. It sounds like we're succeeding. We'd also like to shout out to our fellow Wellingtonians from downtown, Garage Project, who were named Brewery of the Year. Seems the Craft Beer Capital is brewing as much good beer as it's drinking these days.
